Medical Exoskeleton

Being involved in this lab and working on the exoskeleton was really challenging and drew me far out of my comfort zone, but I knew deep down I wanted to be involved. I started with few relevant skill sets, but armed with a can-do attitude and friendly demeanor, I quickly learned how much more important those traits are to the team. It was here I got my first experiences in rapid prototyping, learned about McMaster Carr, K&J magnets, Sparkfun and other resources for scrapping together bits and pieces to develop prototypes. I loved listening to the graduate students debate about control theory, how to streamline the mechanical design, optimal PCB layout, or other design issues.
